My name is Anna Oestreich. I am originally from a small town in central Wisconsin. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. In 2020, my husband and I felt the Pacific Northwest pull and decided to pack up and drive across the country to Veneta, OR where we spent two years living and working on a hobby farm and commuting to work in Eugene. We left to live in Davis, CA but we couldn’t stay away from the PNW for long. After a few months away, I found myself wishing to be back and after a little more than a year away, I am so glad to be back!

My experience with working with children includes working at an early learning center for 3 years in college, being an Au Pair in Italy for a summer, student teaching in a kindergarten classroom, working as a substitute teacher in school districts, and other experiences in between that led me here. I stumbled upon the Co-op when I was searching for jobs in the area and immediately resonated with the Co-op’s philosophy on children's learning and the image of the child. I love being immersed in the curiosities of children and the pure joy and excitement of exploring and discovering. When I’m not at the Co-op, I usually spend time somewhere outside running, hiking, rock climbing, or just hanging out at a park.
